I have always worked toward improvement and advancement. One strong trait from early on was my ability to perceive the value in anything. This understanding enabled me to discover unique strategies to increase value and profitability.
My first business venture was started while I was attending High school. During which time, I learned many of the basics to operating a company; however, more importantly, I gained awareness to the significance of outstanding customer service and how it impacts the bottom line.
After completing school, I joined the military during the Iraq war. This life experience instilled in me valuable character traits that apply equally in business: integrity, self-discipline, and a positive attitude.
Following my military service, I joined my father’s auto sales business where I acquired managerial skills; leading and managing others. When these additional skills were utilized in conjunction with my acquired character traits, the result was astounding…increased profitability by 50%!
Next, I decided to apply all that I had gained over the years; my acquired skills, knowledge, and experience, into a new business venture – a moving and transportation company. Although, I had no specific experience or connections within such an industry, this business started up debt-free and continues to operate totally debt-free today. Starting with one small truck, no employees, and some Vistaprint business cards; the business propelled within three months to three trucks and several employees of which were constantly in service. The most aspiring aspect was 95% of my business derived from word of mouth! That is the power of continuously placing the customer experience at the forefront of your business!
Now, I provide training, mentoring, and support on how to best utilize these same principles and processes within a variety of businesses. Each customer interaction is a point of inflection that will either increase or decrease your sales. Always remember, dissatisfied customers become strong advertisers for your competition; whereas, customers that have an extraordinary experience become strong loyal advocates of your brand, which in turn converts into more sales.
